SnowCastle (LumiLinna) in Kemi, Finland, is not just a winter attraction—it's a masterpiece of Finnish snow architecture! Located 712 km north of Helsinki, this enchanting snow fort was first built in 1996 and has since become one of Finland’s most magical winter destinations.

In 2015, the SnowCastle proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary. Originally the idea of former mayor Mr. Juhani Leino, the SnowCastle was constructed for the first time in 1996 and attracted over 300,000 visitors in its opening year alone. Every year, the castle is rebuilt with a new design, making each visit a unique experience.

❄️ SnowRestaurant

Operating at -5°C, the SnowRestaurant offers seating for up to 200 guests. It serves snacks, hot and cold drinks, and full meals. Private bookings are also available. (Non-smoking area)

🛏️ SnowHotel

The hotel can accommodate up to 48 guests with rooms for singles, couples, and groups. Guests sleep in warm sleeping bags inside icy rooms, with breakfast served in the warm Castle Lounge nearby.

🛌 OLOKOLO Experience

A cozy, warm sleeping unit within the snow walls. Equipped with soft lambskin and thermal sleeping bags, it offers comfort while surrounded by snow!

⛪ SnowChapel

This serene snow church with 60 seats is open for weddings, christenings, and other religious events. Its popularity is growing among both locals and tourists.

🎉 Castle Lounge

Located outside the main snow area, this heated lounge hosts private dinners, meetings, and parties for around 70 people.
