Vocational Education and Training in Finland :
Vocational education
can also be referred as job-oriented training programme. This kind of studies leads
to more employment opportunities. Unlike universities education, this education
focuses more on practical training than the theory itself. Finland reformed its
vocational training extending up to 10 fields of education starting 2018. Some field
of education are Business, Technology, Nursing and Health Care, Agriculture and
Forestry, Service industries, Humanity and arts, Social services, etc.
Most of the
studies are offered in Finnish and Swedish however, you can find a bunch of English
language studies too. Business administration, Nursing, Technologies, Service
education like cook, waiters, etc are offered in English. You should apply
directly to the educational institution for your interest of vocational
education. Mostly the education starts in late august with application period
starting from Dec till may, check vocational institutions for the exact application
period. Remember there is always an additional application period too.
All the vocational
studies are free of costs , however you have to manage the accommodation and
